Meet Axel

Axel is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with more than 10 years of experience supporting neurodivergent children, children who have experienced trauma and individuals navigating challenging personal and occupational circumstances. His background also includes working with police officers and individuals involved in the justice system, giving him an understanding of the pressures that can come with high-stress environments and difficult life experiences.

Axel works with children ages 3+, teens and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, confidence and self-esteem concerns, school and work pressures, relationship challenges, neurodivergence and trauma. He recognizes the unique pressures teenage boys and young men may face when managing emotions, navigating expectations and finding ways to express what they are going through.

He also supports parents and families navigating behavioural concerns, emotional challenges, family changes and the complexities of raising or supporting a neurodivergent child. His collaborative approach focuses on helping families better understand their experiences and develop practical strategies that make everyday life more manageable.

Axel also works with adult men and individuals navigating stress, trauma, emotional difficulties, occupational pressures and major life transitions. His experience across different settings helps him recognize that everyone's circumstances, responsibilities and challenges are different.

His style is relaxed, person-centred and practical. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, Axel works collaboratively with clients to build coping skills, recognize personal strengths and find strategies that fit their needs and goals. He is committed to culturally sensitive, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming care and creating an environment free from judgment or bias.

Outside of his work, Axel enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and watching football. Whether supporting a child, teenager, parent or adult, his goal is to help people feel heard, understood and more confident about moving forward.
