Men’s Hormone & Testosterone Support
Energy, Mood
& Drive in Men
Understand What’s Changed.
Find a Clear Way Forward.
Persistent changes in energy, motivation, mood, concentration or recovery can have many possible causes. Personalized medical assessment can help explore whether testosterone, sleep, medications, metabolic health or other factors may be contributing—and determine which next steps are appropriate.
It May Be More Than a Busy Week
Not Feeling Like Yourself?
Everyone has lower-energy days. Persistent changes that begin affecting your work, relationships, motivation or quality of life may be worth discussing.
Energy and mood can be influenced by sleep, stress, medications, nutrition, metabolic health, mental health and hormone levels. A medical assessment can help look at the broader picture rather than assuming there is one explanation.
-
Persistent Low Energy
Feeling tired throughout the day or relying on caffeine and willpower to keep yourself moving.
-
Lower Motivation
Finding it harder to begin tasks, stay engaged or feel driven by activities and goals that previously mattered to you.
-
Mood Changes
Noticing increased irritability, frustration, lower mood or less patience than is typical for you.
-
Difficulty Concentrating
Trouble maintaining focus, thinking clearly or feeling as mentally sharp and productive as you normally would.
-
Slower Recovery
Taking longer to recover from physical activity, demanding work, disrupted sleep or everyday stress.
-
Reduced Interest
Feeling less interested in exercise, relationships, sex, social activities or other parts of life you previously enjoyed.
These changes do not automatically indicate low testosterone. Brooke will consider your symptoms, health history, medications, laboratory results and other possible contributing factors before discussing treatment or next steps.
Start by Addressing the Right Factors
What the Right Plan May Support
Feeling better begins with understanding what is actually contributing to the changes you are experiencing.
Your plan may involve hormone treatment when clinically appropriate, but it may also involve addressing sleep, medications, metabolic health, mental health or other medical factors identified during your assessment.
-
Steadier Energy
Addressing relevant health factors may help reduce persistent fatigue and support more consistent energy throughout the day.
-
Improved Focus
A clearer understanding of what is affecting you may help improve concentration, productivity and mental clarity.
-
Better Mood & Motivation
Appropriate care may help you feel more engaged, motivated and able to respond to everyday demands with greater stability.
-
Stronger Recovery
Supporting sleep, metabolic health and other contributing factors may improve how you recover from activity, work and everyday stress.
Results vary, and testosterone therapy is not automatically the right treatment for fatigue, low mood or reduced motivation. Brooke will base her recommendations on your symptoms, health history, examination and test results.

Energy, Mood & Hormone Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Does low energy automatically mean low testosterone?
No. Low energy can be connected to sleep, stress, medications, nutrition, metabolic health, mental health and other medical factors. Testosterone is one possible contributor, but symptoms and appropriate testing must be considered together.
Can testosterone affect mood and motivation?
Testosterone deficiency may be associated with reduced energy, irritability, difficulty concentrating or lower mood in some men. These symptoms are not specific to testosterone, so a broader assessment is important before deciding on treatment.
What will Brooke review during my assessment?
Brooke will discuss your symptoms, health history, sleep, medications, current medical conditions and any previous testing. She may also recommend laboratory testing when it could help identify hormonal, metabolic or other medical contributors.
Will testosterone therapy improve my energy and mood?
Not necessarily. Testosterone therapy is considered when clinically appropriate based on symptoms and confirmed test results. Individual responses vary, and treatment may not improve fatigue, mood or concentration when those concerns have another cause.
What if my symptoms are not hormone-related?
If your assessment suggests that sleep, medications, metabolic health, mental health or another concern may be more relevant, Brooke can discuss appropriate next steps and recommend follow-up with another healthcare provider when needed.
Are appointments available virtually across Alberta?
Yes. More For Men provides virtual appointments for men throughout Alberta, allowing you to speak privately with Brooke from a location that works for you.
