More Than Testosterone

Hormone Health Can Show Up
in Different Ways.

Hormones influence many of the systems involved in how you feel, function and change over time. When something feels different, understanding the bigger picture can help you know what may be worth looking into.

01

How You Feel

Changes in energy, mood, motivation, focus or sleep can sometimes be part of a broader hormone-health picture— especially when they feel different from your usual baseline.

02

How Your Body Is Changing

Shifts in strength, muscle mass, recovery, body composition or physical performance can happen for many reasons. Hormone health may be one piece worth considering.

03

Changes You May Not Talk About

Libido, erectile function, sexual performance, hair loss and age-related changes are common concerns—and they can deserve the same attention as any other part of your health.

Not every change is caused by hormones. Symptoms can have many possible causes, which is why proper assessment and individualized medical guidance matter.

Why Our Approach

More Than a
Testosterone Number.

Hormone health is rarely about one symptom or one lab result. Our approach looks at your health more broadly—combining medical assessment, laboratory testing, individualized treatment and ongoing follow-up to determine what support actually makes sense for you.

01

Nurse Practitioner-Led Care

Your care is provided by a Nurse Practitioner who can assess your symptoms, review your medical history and available health records, order appropriate laboratory testing and develop a treatment plan based on your individual needs.

02

We Look at the Bigger Picture

Energy, mood, sexual health, body composition and other changes can have many possible causes. Your assessment considers your symptoms alongside your health history, medications, lifestyle and laboratory results rather than assuming hormones are the answer.

03

Testing Before Treatment

Treatment decisions are informed by appropriate bloodwork and your overall clinical picture. Your results are reviewed with you so you can better understand what was found and why a particular recommendation may—or may not—be appropriate.

04

Care That Continues

Hormone health is not treated as a one-time appointment. Follow-up visits allow your Nurse Practitioner to monitor your progress, review repeat bloodwork when needed and adjust your treatment plan as your health and needs change.

The goal is not to push you toward hormone therapy. It is to understand what is happening, determine what may be contributing and recommend care based on your individual health.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions About Hormone Health

Will I Automatically Be Prescribed Testosterone?

No. Treatment is based on your symptoms, health history, laboratory results and clinical assessment. Brooke will explain the options that may be appropriate for you, which may or may not include testosterone therapy.

What If My Symptoms Are Not Hormone-Related?

Fatigue, mood changes, sexual health concerns and other symptoms can have several possible causes. Your assessment considers the broader health picture. If hormone treatment is not appropriate, Brooke can discuss other possible next steps or recommend additional care.

Can I Continue Seeing My Family Doctor?

Yes. Hormone health care through More For Men is designed to complement your existing medical care. Continue following the advice, monitoring and treatment provided by your family doctor and other members of your healthcare team.

What Should I Prepare for My First Appointment?

Be prepared to discuss your symptoms, health history, medications, supplements, previous treatments and the changes you have noticed. Writing down your questions and health goals beforehand can also help you make the most of your appointment.

Are Appointments, Bloodwork or Prescriptions Covered?

Consultation fees are not typically covered by provincial healthcare, although some Health Spending Accounts or extended benefit plans may provide reimbursement. Bloodwork ordered through the program is covered through AHS. Prescription coverage depends on your individual drug plan.
