Men’s Hormone Health Through Every Stage
Age-Related Hormone
Changes in Men
Know What’s Normal.
Know When to Look Closer.
Hormone levels and other aspects of men’s health can change over time—but persistent changes in energy, sexual health, mood, strength or body composition should not automatically be dismissed as ageing. Personalized medical assessment can help identify what may be contributing and whether testing or treatment is appropriate.
More Than “Just Getting Older”
When Changes Deserve a Closer Look
Some physical and hormonal changes are expected over time—but persistent symptoms do not have to be accepted without understanding what may be contributing to them.
Hormones are only one part of the picture. Sleep, stress, medications, nutrition, metabolic health and other medical conditions can produce similar changes. A proper assessment helps separate assumptions from information that can guide your next steps.
-
Lower Energy
Feeling consistently drained, recovering more slowly or having less capacity for your usual responsibilities and activities.
-
Sexual Health Changes
Changes in sexual interest, erectile function or confidence that are persistent or affecting your quality of life.
-
Strength & Recovery
Losing strength, finding it harder to maintain muscle or noticing that exercise recovery takes longer than it once did.
-
Body Composition
Increased body fat, reduced lean mass or changes that continue despite consistent nutrition and movement habits.
-
Mood & Motivation
Persistent irritability, low motivation, reduced confidence or changes in your overall sense of well-being.
-
Focus & Mental Clarity
Difficulty concentrating, feeling mentally foggy or struggling to remain engaged in work and everyday activities.
These changes do not automatically mean that you have a hormone deficiency. Brooke can review your symptoms, health history, medications and appropriate laboratory testing to help identify what may be contributing.
Supporting Healthy Ageing
Feel More Like Yourself as You Age
The goal is not to reverse ageing. It is to identify factors that may be affecting how you feel and help you maintain your health, independence and quality of life.
Your plan will depend on what Brooke’s assessment identifies. Recommendations may include addressing lifestyle or medication factors, managing an underlying health concern or considering hormone therapy when it is clinically appropriate.
-
Energy & Recovery
Identify factors that may be contributing to fatigue, reduced stamina or slower recovery.
-
Sexual Health
Discuss changes in libido or erectile function within a private, medically informed setting.
-
Strength & Mobility
Support the muscle, bone and physical function that help you remain strong and active over time.
-
Metabolic Health
Consider how weight, blood sugar and other metabolic factors may interact with symptoms and hormone health.
-
Mood & Clarity
Explore potential contributors to changes in mood, motivation, concentration and overall well-being.
-
Ongoing Monitoring
Track symptoms, laboratory results and treatment response so your plan can be adjusted safely over time.
Hormone therapy is not automatically recommended because of age or symptoms alone. When treatment is considered, Brooke will review the potential benefits, limitations and risks based on your health information and laboratory results.

Hormone Changes With Age
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it normal for testosterone to change with age?
Testosterone levels may change over time, but age alone does not determine whether someone has a testosterone deficiency. Diagnosis requires a review of symptoms and appropriately collected laboratory results.
How do I know if my symptoms are hormone-related?
Symptoms such as fatigue, changes in mood, reduced libido or difficulty maintaining muscle can have several causes. Brooke will review your health history, medications, lifestyle factors and appropriate testing before determining whether hormones may be contributing.
What laboratory testing might be recommended?
Testing will depend on your symptoms and medical history. Brooke may recommend testosterone testing and other relevant bloodwork to assess potential hormonal, metabolic or medical contributors.
Does booking an appointment mean I have to start hormone therapy?
No. Your appointment is an opportunity to understand what may be contributing to the changes you are experiencing. Hormone therapy is considered only when it is clinically appropriate based on your symptoms, test results and overall health.
Can other health factors cause similar changes?
Yes. Sleep, stress, medications, nutrition, weight, metabolic health and other medical conditions can affect energy, sexual health, mood and body composition. This is why a complete assessment is important.
Will I need ongoing monitoring if treatment is started?
Yes. When hormone therapy or another medical treatment is prescribed, ongoing appointments and appropriate laboratory monitoring help Brooke assess safety, symptom response and whether your plan requires adjustment.
