The MFM Approach
Four Pillars.
One Connected
Approach.
Your Health Is Connected.
Mental health, movement, nutrition, metabolism and hormones do not operate independently. Our four pillars give you clear places to start—with the ability to connect support across MFM when your needs and goals overlap.

Your Health Doesn't Work in Separate Boxes
Men's health concerns can overlap. Mental health, exercise and nutrition, metabolic health and hormone health can each influence how you feel and function. MFM brings these areas together so you can start with the support you need now and connect with other services when appropriate.
01
Energy + Motivation
Low energy or motivation may overlap with stress, sleep, physical activity, metabolic health or hormone-related concerns. Looking at the bigger picture can help identify the right place to start.
02
Weight + Metabolic Health
Weight and metabolic concerns can involve nutrition, movement, blood sugar, cholesterol, sleep, stress and other health factors. Support can be focused on the areas most relevant to your goals.
03
Stress + Burnout
Ongoing stress can exist alongside changes in sleep, energy, activity, eating patterns and overall wellbeing. Your support does not have to stop at one part of your health.
Different Concerns. One Connected Approach.

Finding the Right Support
MFM supports men's health through four connected areas: mental health, exercise and nutrition, metabolic health and hormone health. That can include counselling, personal training, practical nutrition coaching, weight and metabolic health support, and medical assessment for hormone-related concerns. You can start with one area or explore additional support when your needs or goals overlap.
MFM offers virtual men's health services across Alberta, making it easier to access support wherever you live. Service availability and delivery may vary by practitioner, so each MFM service page provides more information about how appointments are offered. In-person counselling is also available in Cochrane.

MFM offers personalized metabolic health support for men looking to improve areas such as weight, blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, nutrition, gut health and long-term health. The goal is to understand what is most relevant to you and build an approach around your individual health goals rather than a one-size-fits-all plan. Explore Metabolic Health.
MFM provides medical assessment and personalized care for men experiencing hormone-related concerns, including possible low testosterone, changes in energy, mood, sleep or sexual health. Because these symptoms can have more than one cause, the appropriate healthcare provider can assess your concerns in the context of your overall health. Explore Hormone Health.
Yes. MFM offers online personal training and practical nutrition coaching designed around your goals, experience, lifestyle and routine. Insurance coverage depends on the service, practitioner and your individual benefits plan. Some MFM services may be eligible for coverage through extended health benefits, while others may not be included under every plan. Direct billing is available for eligible services and participating insurance providers. When direct billing is not available, a receipt can be provided for you to submit to your insurer. We recommend checking your specific coverage before booking.
You don't need to know exactly what kind of support you need before reaching out. You can take the MFM quiz to explore which areas of your health may be worth looking at, or book a free consultation to talk through what's going on and learn more about your options. If you need additional help navigating MFM services, our team can help connect you with an appropriate next step.
